No way! It really works?!
That was my question to friends who have this crazy-looking self-massage tool. After 10 minutes, I was “hooked”. The best thing is that you can relax–as one should when trying to reduce pain–and even laugh while you tie yourself in a pretzel exploring the impact of each knob on each pain spot. And it’s incredibly versatile. Neck pain? Got it! Cramp in the arch of your foot? Fixed. Muscle knot that you can’t reach yourself? No worries. Besides, even if it doesn’t work, what a great conversation starter on a cold rainy night in the Pacific Northwest: “Top 10 ways to use the Buddy Massage Cane that aren’t found in the directions.”

Wonderful tool!
There is only one thing that I wish this tool would be and that is more travel friendly. It is a bit odd shaped and difficult to fit into a small to medium-sized gym bag and back pack. Otherwise I’d take it with me everywhere. It is very effective at getting rid of all the aches and pains developed after sleeping in a bad position, working long hours, sitting at a computer for too long, traveling, and over-exertion. I must have saved several hundred dollars in massage therapy and pain killer medication costs in the past year and a half that I’ve owned this.

One of the best self-massage tools around
First off, I usually have tightness in my shoulders and neck (probably from spending too much time in front of a computer all day at work). I also have stiffness in my lower back from time to time. The BBB is really effective at reaching all my knots and bringing relief through hitting those pressure points (on the neck, upper and lower shoulder blade, and all along the spine). What makes it so good is that when you position the “ball points” on those areas, the tool is designed so that you can use just modest leverage to get to the deep tissue. This is key because you can use this for quite a while and not get tired. I can’t stress the importance of this enough. I find that with proper positioning, I can really get a lot of pressure by simply using my arm weight with modest effort.

Also, I find that with some practice you can actually slide the ball points along your tight areas, which more effectively mimics a real massage vs. just getting point pressure (which I find brings less relief). For instance, by gently laying on top of the bbb (facing up), I can get a very deep lower back massage – and all by myself!

The bbb is also very sturdy. Takes a little bit of experimentation to get used to it, but all in all, it’s one of my favorite self-massage tools and I would highly recommend it.

Hits the Spot!
Buy this odd-looking, yet extremely handy device if you have a hard-to-reach spot that needs constant attention. Especially useful for the back or if you need to apply a good amount of pressure on spots such as the bottom of the foot. Things I like best about it include:

-it’s lightweight
-handles positioned so you can keep pressure on a spot while rubbing
-is in the shape of a “hook” so virtually no spot is out of reach

Intended for those who need to regularly massage out tense areas in the muscles, it’s a very useful tool- and cheaper than therapy! Also recommend The 5-Minute Plantar Fasciitis Solution if you suffer with this most annoying foot condition.

Really improved the QUALITY of my life!!!
I have used this cane for about 6 years. When I got it all my muscles were so tight I could hardly do anything without cramping up a muscle. The massage therapist would get bounced off muscles during deep muscle massage. It is the most useful and helpful tool I’ve ever owned. At first I cried while using it, any spot I touched was so tender and tight. But I kept at it and now I use it before muscles get too tight, at first hint of pain. I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia and in addition, had been through several severe emotional trauma’s.

The loss of my daughter, grand-daughter, husband and brother, plus our family home & most of our pets (to fire), all in 13 months and I was still primary care giver to two teenage daughters. While I still suffer a lot of pain, it is not nearly as severe as it was then and I credit the theracane, rest and light exercise with the improvement. I ran out of money for private massage and any physical therapy that my insurance paid was 3.5 hours away so the theracane was & has become my best friend!!! I take it anytime I leave town and my worst fear is leaving it somewhere.

I can tell you, I would go back and get it!!!! I still have fibro flares but I believe being aggressive with the trigger points (and tender spots, less aggressively but consistently) shortens the duration of the flares and it improves the quality of my sleep. I even have fibro in my face and use the shorter knobs on my eyebrow ridges and lightly on the trigger points in my jaw and cheeks. A little spendy here on Amazon but definitely worth the money!!! joyfully, Dianne

This is really worth the money. If you’re always wanting someone to dig into those sore spots, you need this. You can use it to dig into those spots when nobody is around or when they are tired of doing it for you. It comes with a handy manual too that shows all the different ways you can use the theracane.

This is a nice table with good padding. I cut the top of the table with a box cutter and they were good about sending me a kit to fix it. Nice company to deal with and it came in 2 days.

I tried one of these once and ordered my own immediately. It seems to work like the spinal decompression machines that chiropractors advertise and really relaxes your back, immediately. The people who’s machine I used were raving about it and said it really helped their back pain. There are lots of videos on the manufacturers website that explain how it works at [...] which someone might want to watch before ordering.

I thought I could shave a few days off the ordering time and order it direcly from a Brookstone outlet – HUGE MISTAKE – it’s been 10 days and a nightmare of calling every three to five days (which is ‘how long it takes to get it in’) to be told they have no idea where it is, maybe they sold it already…save yourself the grief and order it on-line. The manufacturer throws in a free foam pillow, but they charge shipping. Brookstone has ‘free shipping’ although good luck actually getting it.

Returned but reordered
I bought this machine and used it for 30 days during which my back pain disappeared. But, being concerned about their being no warranty, I decided to return it and see if stretching exercises would keep the back pain away. It didn’t. I am now about to reorder because my back is killing me again!
